Methodism’s founder John Wesley said, "I look upon all the world as my parish." Wesley reminded us that we are called to step out of our little corner of the world to spread the good news, transform hopelessness into hope and help God’s children wherever they may be.

Statement of Purpose: The New Tazewell United Methodist Church is a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ. We recognize the new possibilities for life that Christ presents and realize these possibilities in our common growth in worship, study and fellowship. We seek to meet our needs through working and playing, laughing and crying, caring and sharing with one another. We respond to the Good News of Christ by worshiping Him and reaching into our community and world in love, service and spreading the good news.

 

Our members will seek within and without our church to reach out with love and receive persons just as they are and extend care to all persons in the community as commanded by Matthew Chapter 28, verses 18 through 20.
